Neglect on Servicing

Although Mason-Thompson carried out a MOT last year and a service this year in May for over £2000, they failed to pick up on a serious defect concerning corrosion of the rear axle mountings on this year's MOT. He did offer to repair it for a sum of £800 plus £80 to fit a pair of mudflaps, but I had it done elsewhere including the mudflaps for £380 as I did not trust his judgement. After having it repaired, he once again failed due to the sills being corroded, but they were not actually listed in the initial failed MOT, but disguised as being "central". needless to say, this repair was not carried out by him either. The car now has a new MOT without any advisories. On their website they clearly state "While an MOT will make sure your car is roadworthy, servicing it will make sure the car will last. There are a lot of things that can happen to a car within a year and if not taken care of they will lead to costly repairs and maybe a replacement of the whole vehicle
